representation

Business men in the wolf of Wall Street have more authority than individuals. They are represented to have more power than women throughout the film. In the film white males use the money to control women and treated them as less superior. This is shown as the main protagonist starts to gain huge amounts of money and starts buying women for sexual relationships. This shows the social attitudes that were around at the time towards women.

White males in the film have more authority in the film and do not have jobs within the Wall Street. Throughout the film there were only white male businessmen who were working on Wall Street. Within in the film only a few black people were shown. One part in the film there was a black waiter that shows they weren't considered too much in the eyes of the white public. This is due to 1980's social attitudes towards black people and this lead to them being mistreated and aren't able to get jobs in high places such as Wall Street.
